A commission for 
he wanted me to draw up a pair of character concepts. A mantis shrimp and an orchid mantis.
Now, I think orchid mantis boy (yeah, the pink one is male in case it isn't quite clear) came out okay, but FUCK mantis shrimp are super colorful.

and as you all have seen, I pretty much have been going nuts with the blur tool to shade and mix colors and junk.
And with this...I dunno, I feel like out CUH-RAZY mantis shrimp man came out like a pastel mess. So I just stopped before I made it worse. But maybe I'm being too hard on myself.
Anyway, I got one more commission for so stay tuned folks.

You never fail to impress!
Two distinctly different species, but their design makes them similiar enough to make them look like they belong together.
It was a true stroke of brilliance to give them the pincher upper-arms and human lower arms; VERY well done.
Just with their introductory pic, you perfectly captured the essence of their characters.
Aconite: Twitchy, deranged, dangerous.
Kava: Flirty, seductive, also dangerous.
