Before Ro had become a ghost he had two loves, a male and a female. He was greatly torn between the both of them, and prefered to have a monogamous relationship but could not decide who to be with. The night of his death he was barely able to get to sleep as he was struggling who he wanted to spend his life with, being straight and gay also weighed heavily on his mind. He then got up from his bed and grabbed the scarf of his boyfriend Robert, it was the first thing he grabbed in the dark, and decided to take that as a sign as there were plenty of things he could have grabbed of his girlfriends. His mind was so made up that he HAD to tell Robert in person and felt that he could not wait, so he grabbed his keys and made his way for Robert's apartment.

It wasn't rainy, there was no storm, and it was Spring so the weather was warm. There was no dangers on the road, but that didn't stop an accident to happen. All it took was for someone on their way to work and in a hurry, not even being bothered to stop at the stop sign. The crashing of metal was the last thing Ro heard before the car crash killed him, also ripping his boyfriends scarf, leaving only the letters RO unfrayed. As his ghostly form arose out of the body what was left of the scarf remained on his wrist, he saw the letter RO and decided that that was his name as his memories had almost entirely vanished. He didn't really know what to do so he hung around his body as the paramedics and police arived. After a few days of examinations of both dead crash victims the accident was chalked up to just that, and accident and both persons were put into the newspaper obituaries. Both of Ro's girlfriend and boyfriend managed to meet at Ro's grave on the same day, each of them asked who they were and that was where they both discovered they had a relationship with Ro. A few memories of them came flooding back to Ro, and in that moment one heart shapped mark apeared on his crotch, as he remembered the sexual relationship he had with both of them.

Ro saw that Robert and Denice, the girlfriend, were spending a lot of time with one another, talking about Ro and what happiness he had brought into each of their lives. Thanks to all of this Ro was able to get back some of his memories, and even started seeing how happy they were making each other. A few weeks had passed as Ro continued to observe them both, he actually felt happy that the two of them were giving each other the support they needed after his death. He had also decided he wanted to do something for them, he remembered a plastic ring that Robert had gotten him and decided he wanted to get it back to him, luckily since he was so tied to it in the real world he was able to grab it in his ghostly form. It took him little time to fly back to both of them as they were eating in a diner. He put the ring in Robert's pocket and tugged on it so Robert would notice it. Robert reaches into his pocket and finds the ring, at first he is puzzled how it got there, but takes it as a sign. He looks at the Denice and proceeds to tell her about what the ring symbolized to him, and gives it to her. The two then began to start a healthy relationship with each other, but never forgetting about who brought them together, a simple confused guy that they both had loved. And seeing them now boyfriend and girlfriend filled Ro with happiness, and caused a second heart to apear on his crotch, it symbolized hos love for both of them.

This intense love for them had an interesting effect on his body, it wasn't negative, but every once in a while his gender changes, some days he is male, some he's female, and sometimes even a herm. He doesn't mind this as he DOES enjoy playing with each figure he gets as he came to terms with the fact that he may have been bisexual.

Oh and the name? Well he DID learn his name was Charles, but he decided to keep calling himself RO as that was the first thing he "saw" when he became a ghost, kind of his name upon his "rebirth".
