I am thinking that this is how she views her father in her dreams.

And even though here, her dreams are actually connected to her brothers (as it seems), she still in control no matter how much fear she has right now. To me, I think the light in the last panel is her gaining more awareness, or at least accepting something in her life (the more awareness you have in your dream, the more you can do in it). As for the father, the fact that he has been like this throughout the comic is possibly that he was easily stressed and the abusive side came out... Maybe she did something to really push his buttons without knowing because she is so young

The good happy parts are dreams that kinda happened but are connected to her brothers in an unsaid way. These parts at their house are memories, or altered versions in which she remembers this, and in some cases her brothers are connected. The main difference between the two is that one the memories are usually dark and scary and two her brothers usually can't understand her.
