Okay lets see how many funny commen...nah. :p Meet Phoenix, now about 5 1/2 months old, and the newest member of my house. Incredibly energetic, headstrong, rambunctious, nibbly, and adorable. He's supposedly a 'Husky mixed with Labrador', now the husky is undeniable, probably Siberian based on his size. However, the Lab part we don't think is accurate and he might be Shiba Inu. Either way I'll get the lil guy gene tested for some more accurate results.
This guy, I swear, rough start. You probably saw the metal thin along side his hind leg. Yes those are surgical pins holding the bone in place because he came to me with a broken leg. D:
Long story short, he was a rescue pup with a bad first owner, quickly taken, given immediate surgery to fix his leg and get him nourished, picked up by a local animal rescue group, went from southern US to the Washington DC area to a rescue group here, then to a foster family, then to me. Only 4 1/2 months old when I got him in July. Now that he's been here, and healing nicely, he's had the pins removed, his leg healing, running, pulling, and playing like a puppy should.
Also ignore my finger in the picture frame. >.>
