We've had a drawing tablet for a while, but I've never been comfortable doing sketches straight on the computer. I'm also a bit rusty with drawing. So I figured at some point I'd better sit down and start warming up to the thing, since I'd like to be able to learn to do proper digital art sometime. Hence, some quick little cat studies. I started with the blue one in the upper left, and finished with the closeup with the tongue sticking out in the lower right. By that point, I was starting to feel a little better about sketching with the tablet. Using the Graphite dynamics in Gimp Paint Studio makes it a LITTLE more natural, though it still seems a little weird to me. Hoping to get used to this someday.
