Two smilers a smili'n
This is an old pic. You can kind of get a feel for how big this wolf was. And yes, he was a 100% pure Canadian Tundra wolf.

Yes, true.
But look at his eyes... You can see slivers of white. Why is this? Because... Our relationship is still budding. He's... Still not entirely sure what to think about me, yet. I am derpy and think nothing of it. But it's clear... A big part of him loved me, but there was still a slight apprehension. (Which he overcame...)
Wolves are... Very emotional creatures. They are amazingly complex. (This is how come we have a variety of dogs- their father the wolf was a very fruitful tree) Sometimes it takes ten years to peel back the layers of their psyches and get a good understanding of them. When with a dog it can take a matter of minutes sometimes, or days, months, sometimes years as well.

Thanks for ruining the moment!
*Puts you in with wolf*
"Hey wolf... Wait till you hear what he just said..."
Wolf: "Aroo? What did he say? Tell me!"
*Wolf turns and looks at you*
*I whisper in his ears*
Wolf: "Grrrrrrr!"
XD
Yeah, he had a voracious appetite, it's true. He did have a little bit extra padding when it came wintertime. However, he wasn't overly fat to be honest. This was the summer months when their poofy fur was falling out, so he looks kind of out of sorts. he hadn't yet lost all of his "Winter padding" here.
This is a typical feeding time moment:
Wolf: "I am so hungry, Dave!!"
"But I just fed you eight pounds of raw meat!"
Wolf: "Psht! Haven't you read how much meat we can eat during one sitting?"
"Well, yeah, but those wolves usually don't eat anything for days until they gorge themselves like that... I fed you five pounds of meat yesterday. And five the day before. And the day before. Since I've known you... For years."
Wolf: *Sobbing* "I have a problem, Dave!"
That's when we enrolled him in "Carnivores anonymous".
With regular meetings, and help from a higher power, we were able to get him down to eating one antelope a day, as opposed to three.
