I've been steadily working on getting the new eagle blank mold up and running and am waiting on a layer of mod-podge to dry as I post this.

Since Crystumes and I collaborated on it's original sculpt, when we stopped sharing studio space I left the old mold behind, taking a single blank to work on tweaking the sculpt...hopefully eliminating some symmetry issues I've had a couple clients point out. I am pretty stoked to have a usable mold again, and it's not been without trial. I actually had cast a modified sculpt last week, but found that when I was pulling the silicone from it I really should have had mold release. Sadly I wasted a nice chunk of my casting silicone doing this.

SO! Now I have my mold release, thanks to some advice on the perfect multi-purpose formula. HEY HEY! Yay for not having to buy separate materials for casting seperate types of materials! Now I can cast ALL THE THINGS--without worry that materials will be left behind in the mold. <3

I won't likely make it much further this evening/morning than adding a couple more layers of the sealant on the plaster mold--and will be casting it's first blank in the morning after getting a spot of shuteye!
