I know it's not August yet, it's just the the group usually wants the calendar art submitted at least a week before the new month. Just to be on the safe side, i decide to send this in a little earlier before I forget.

I was planning on making the July art, but the slot was already taken so I thought making August would be an interesting challenge.

Apparently, there are not many major holidays in August, so I had to do a little research in order to figure out a theme for the drawing. One website I found mentioned that August is National Picnic Month. There are also some lesser known holidays such as Watermelon Day, Mustard Day, Sisters Day, etc. As a result, I made a picnic scene featuring some August holiday foods and me with my sister.
