Like the title says XD, I'm thinking of maybe taking on a commission or two over the winter. I've only made Ruiz, but I learned a lot and know the next one will be better.
But I need some advice.
I don't know if it's rude to ask lol, but I would appreciate some honest answers. I will absolutely not be offended no matter what. Assuming the worst and for whatever reason I don't improve, what should I charge for *head ONLY* commissions the quality of Ruiz's? Just to give me an idea. I don't want to overcharge XD
Thanks in advance

I would same make some more before opening for commissions (or make some for friends or aomething). Making a suit for yourself and making one for a customer are very different.
As for the head itself, overall it is pretty good, the shaving is nice and neat and you have the fur in the right direction. There are a couple of things though. The eyes should have a bit more variation in colour (especially for a realistic head), if you have a look at these eyes there are flecks of different colours in them http://www.furaffinity.net/view/9884116/
The ears also splay out to the side alot, if you look at a dogs ears they sit upright alot more. I would also suggest shaving down the ears.

Thank you for the advice. The ears never did set well with me XD just haven't had a chance to play around with it yet. I appreciate any critiques. As for the making more suits, that's where I was stuck. I would like to make on for a friend or something, but I'm like the only furry in the area. Let alone a fursuiter. I don't have any furry friends/ family members lol.... So I'm kinda at a loss =/ the only thing I could think of were to take a couple from strangers over the winter and see. I don't know how else to get that kind of experience. Any ideas?
I agree with everything Toska said. If you don't have a friend to make a suit for I suggest you make a couple premades. Take measurements off of a family member and construct a head (and maybe parts) around those measurements. Once you've finished give the pieces to your family member to try on: you should be able to make a well fitting [partial]suit from measurements alone.
When making a couple premades, though, don't just make canines. Show your skills by making a cat and something out there (dragon, otter, and horse/pony are a couple ideas).
You'll also want to get a solid ToS in order to protect both you and your customers.
If you have any questions feel free to ask! Talkin shop is one of my favorite things to do.
