I vote a scanner, it's the most cost effective for work under A3.
I have an Epson WF-7515 which is an A3 printer/scanner.

have you tried scanning the picture to see which version is better?
when I scan things my images sometimes come out grainy (but mostly it isn't... it also depends on the size of the drawing im scanning) or when I take a photo it well... has weird colors such as this one

its just not clear and all the epic shading's gone DX
looks better on paper
