A couple of characters of my husband's and my Vargr characters. They are maned wolf siblings. The Female is Rikku, and the male is Dzaku. As maned wolves tend to be very... leggy? They have long thin legs, more so present on Rikku. Not the strongest of characters, but they make up for it in other areas. Typically female Vargr are not suppose to have breasts, but I gave Rikku them anyway because it just seemed weird without them.

I think its more understandable when it comes to reptiles, as they have no use for breasts. The few anthro dragons I have are in fact a mix between human and their reptile counterpart.. due to them being human shapeshifters with their main form being that of a reptile, so it kinda makes sense there.. reptiles can get away with it easier though.. where as canines... it just seems really super weird.
Vargr get a lot of intolerance thrown their way. In fact, their reputation with other worlds tends to be pretty poor, so they are subject to a lot of people grabbing a ball and throwing it, yelling "fetch", and other such non-sense where people talk to them the same way they would speak to a dog. And of coarse they are always "randomly picked" for a search at security check points.
*shrugs*
So they don't have breasts according to the rules? Who cares? Call it a quirk of the subspecies, a singular mutation or cosmetic surgery.
Never forget RPG rules 1-2
1. Have fun
2. Any rule in the way of rule #1 is automaticly void
Incidentally, they come better over as Maned Wolves than many others I've seen (some looked like foxes). Nicely done.
Incidentally, thanks for some ideas you've given me with this.

I didn't know there were multiple Vargr species. Just figured they were like Humaniti with one species (which I think has a bit of fox DNA in with the wolf and other stuff) and a bunch of different ethnicities, since I find it hard to believe multiple intelligent species could coexist on one planet in TLs 0-2, at the very least. Then again it's hard to tell where the Vargr homeworld is so I suppose the Droyne may have tried different genomes on several different planets or something.
I dont think its that there are different species, so much as just different marking types. There are different types of wolves, doesnt mean that it isnt still just a wolf. Also I am aware that the maned wolf isnt exactly a wolf, but its for an RP with the cast of mostly Vargr, there needs to be quite a bit of variety when it comes to coloration and markings.
