Hello everyone, it has been a while since i have released an of my Chrono Cross Piano Cover Compendium (CCPCC for short) but non the less i have been tinkering away with a piece here and there.
This piece in particular gets a tad tricky because i am playing dual meter.. essentially my left hand is playing in one meter and my right hand is playing in another... so in a least common multiple of phrases later they meet back up and all is well. Imagine conducting an orchestra with one hand in 3/4 and the other in 4/4.. it takes 4 bars for one and 3 bars for the other to be with eachother... musical rant over.
Another part of this piece i enjoy is how i was able to play staccato moving nearly flawlessly into staccato and pedal and beastmode left and snappy right (paragraph above).
I hope everyone enjoys this song. Sorry it has been so long!

                    this is my piano ;)
Its a little finicky, but she is custom built so i have additional strings, hammers inside, etc.. she is a $10k dollar pain in my butt of which i spend half my time tuning.. but she allows me to do so much more than a "normal" piano
This is also a combination of 6 recordings locations (trying something new). Four corners of room, close distance piano mic, and medium distance piano mic. My recording guru (recogubff) blends them together.
I dont know if i could do this on another piano, have not tried honestly.... hmm

This was played live, both hands at the same time? That is amazingly admirable! Haha, I cannot even play "The Trial" from Chrono Trigger without screwing up the rhythm immediately. So very nice work!
I really wish the recording was a little sharper, though. I hope you do not mind—I downloaded the song and played around with an equalizer, and found it is a little better with a dip around 150-300 Hz, and a raise at either 3, 5, or 7 kHz (depending on one's preference). The waveform also looked a little hard-limited, sort of squeezed, and that might affect the dynamics as well; but I might just be imagining that! I'm pretty new at mixing music, so I may not really know what I'm talking about sometimes. XD Oawoo, I hope I haven't upset you! This is my first time giving critique...
I need to go through and listen to your other CC arrangements! I really dug what you did with "Time's Scar", too.

Holy CRAP i have no idea of all that nor of what you said.... but kudos to you and i am glad you enjoyed the song!!
I can relay the memo to my recorder and see what he thinks. He is self trained so.. i dunno.. i just play the piano
Critique is fine, as long as it is constructive. The only critique i dont like is being told how to play the piano by people who cant read music let alone play the piano. I have Parkinson's disease and have had countless surgeries on my left hand and trained for over a year to play again... so i think i know a thing or two about the piano and music
But your awesome, thanks for all the critique! Have a go at all my other CCPCC (Chrono Cross Piano Cover Compendium) songs! Asides from my Prophecies suite, that's my prized music collection
