Originally, Dave was only going to fix the exhaust leak that I had from of the exhaust manifolds. No big deal. He'll just get the torch out, heat the bolts, work 'em out, and badda-bing-badda-boom - leak fixed. Well, as what happens with a 40+ year-old car, doing A leads to B, which leads to C, which leads to D, and all of a sudden the engine's being disassembled...

No worries, tho. Dr. Dave knows what he's doing, and in fact it's actually a good thing that things have gone as far as they have. Apparently, the head gaskets were starting to decompose, and the the camshaft and lifters were worn to hell and badly needing replacement (piston rings, crank and bearings are worn but still sound, fortunately).
