Quite a bit over budget and a good month and a half later, reassembly has begun! Heads steam-cleaned and machined, new camshaft and lifters and chain, and new valve seals all installed, and things are looking nice!

What's funny is Dr. Dave originally said that if I wanted, he could pull the block, take it to work and have it steam-cleaned, and completely tear it down and rebuild it for a grand. We're about there now (at least, as far as the teardown goes)! But when finished Betty should run smooth and new, and have better gas mileage to boot. Can't wait! :)
