Love the colouring

I like your use of a single bright colour. Brings attention to certain details in the picture that might get missed otherwise and brings them to the fore. The whole picture brings a sense of sadness and the ring and the flower provoke thoughts for the motivations of the sadness of them both.

I particularly enjoy these pictures you do, Drake. As much as I enjoy your more silly or sexy works, you have shown that you've got a strong ability to convey emotion and sentimentality in your artwork and I always look forward to seeing more of it.

Thank you! I do prefer to make people laugh, but it is nice to sometimes branch out and stretch the artist muscle in other ways.

Granted, I'm not one for understanding feelings, but I am seriously lost.

That aside, b-e-a-u-t-i-ful picture. And she's the hottest undead I've ever saw. Thank you for not sticking "bigger 'n yer head" breasts on her.

One thing that having no author written text about precisely what's going on in the picture is that it allows you to make up your own story about what's going on in the image. Look at the characters and see how they interact and make up your own mind.

The undead girl could be lamenting the loss of whomever gave her the ring, perhaps she became undead and he or she didn't. Perhaps it's her own ring and she's sad because she misses companionship and because she's undead no one will treat her as a person. The tauren could be bringing her the flower as a token of his affection, an apology or to cheer her up. You notice that the flower is alive, complete and beautiful, maybe the tauren already tried to give it to her and she got upset because she's dead and wilting and that's why the Tauren is upset.

Whatever your mind makes up can work with the picture because nothing is explicitly stated.

I just adjusted the color balance. The original was in grey, except for what was yellow, rgen the rest I shifted about in order to blend the colors more, but still leave the yellow standing out.

Humm.. you know.. this struck me deeply. The thing that did it for me were three things.

The empty eyes of the female
The ring
The flower

It makes me a little sad and sends shivers down my spine.

Such a reaction from art is definitely a sign of something very good.

I was house sitting when I did this one, so every night it was just me alone in a huge house with no internet access. I'm sure that helped with the feeling of utter loniness I put into the picture.

Once I made the connection that the flower was in the Tauren's hand and not around his neck, I immediately broke out in a case of the warm fuzzies ^__^

I'd say the extra effort put into this piece definately puts it a step above most of your other, recent works. I love the sombre mood the sepia tones gives, which is nicely offset by the bright yellow of the moon, ring, and flower. Good stuff!

Its got that awesome "vintage" look about it too, cause you know the classics were the truth touching stories. Where they had to rely on actual talent and not computer effects.

Never saw a sweet looking undead before. the ring reminds me of a undead quest where an undead I think started remembering her life and taking a trip down memory lane before shoving those thoughts away. I'm guessing this might be inspired by that so she's thinking of her husband from when she was alive.

The tauren, far as I can tell, gives the indication he's in love with her. With the flower and his gaze towards her. Since he's not very happy looking it feels it's either wishful thinking or he's sad because she's sad.

I love how you bring attention to the ring and the flower with the color.
