In one dream I had, there was a cougar with a calico pattern lying next to me in my bed. I remember, in my dream, thinking about how beautiful of an animal the cougar was, but also being very terrified... because it was a cougar in my bed... and that seems like a reasonable reaction to having any large, wild cat in close proximity to you.
