In a sense, somewhat of a sequel to this piece.

As like with the piece previously mentioned, this isn't really a vent piece. Music affects quite a bit of what I draw, or rather what I'm drawing affects the music I listen too. It helps to put me in the certain mood that I want to achieve in the piece I'm working on. Somedays I get into this sort of calm, relaxed, pensive, contemplative, yet melancholic mood, something that isn't necessarily sad or depressed, just the mood I tend to be in when I just like to sit alone in quiet and just think. Yesterday happened to be one of those days, and I really wanted to capture that mood in a piece of art. I used the previously mentioned piece as a huge source of inspiration.

I used this to further experiment with panda Maria's outfit, and I think I've come to something I'll probably use as her default outfit. I personally own everything except the hat and those specific shoes. I did have a pair of those shoes once, but wore them out, and the shoes I wear currently are black, and I didn't think that would work with the outfit. The hat is something I've been sort of debating for her pony version originally, but I thought the style would work with her cargo pants since it gives a sort of military vibe. Also, I swore I wasn't going to include plaid, but otherwise it seemed awfully flat. I'll just have to spend an hour on it every time I draw her. Used blue for all the shading and highlights and whatnot because blue is a very cool and calm color.
