Is she purple or dark purple-red? I can't tell.

Good morning :) it is a mid-purple with a hint of red :'D

I think people could tell the difference personally. The facial markings are different, & the ears aren't black like Huskie's, for example

I noticed that as well, just at a glance though it could be possible to mistake the two. This is a more red-purple with cream, the face, etc.

Indeed! I put it much snarkier than I wanted to. I've seen in the last few months 3 characters that were near exact replicas of other artists (whose design had been uploaded/used first, one was used for 8 years and suddenly cropped up as an adoptable somewhere) and one design was taken down after the artist requested and the other is still a near exact replica of the other artist and that artist is still a bit concerned. More wanted to put out that it's a possibility it CAN be mistaken as her character, she doesn't -care- about it, but the next user might get questioned about it so just a heads up. :D

Yeah original characters are practically impossible these days unless it borderlines "epileptic warped" or something. Simplicity is nice! If I went after every blue canine with black ears I'd be out of my mind, y'know?

S'all good. I do see your point. I too often forget how many people make mountains out of molehills in situations like this. I honestly just had this happen myself ; u ; Chick messaged me & said "if I dyed my hair black, my husband would think this was my character". Rude.. but it seems there are plenty of folks who don't a) take the time to look at details, or b) have trouble accepting that there are going to be similar character designs out there. ................
