Heres a 30 minute speed paint of my cat Bodhi!
thornwolf and I are trying to make 30 minute speed paintings each day in order to improve. In my case, digital art is something still very new to me. I'm still pretty overwhelmed by the painting program--too many color choices and not knowing where to start. XD
These studies will hopefully help me learn how to paint faster too.
So heres a first attempt! Maybe tomorrow I'll do a landscape!
I'll have you know that my cat was purring the entire time I was painting this and he even brought me one of his toys in his mouth as a present. XD

I don't see how? They're not different colours. David Bowie has heterochromia :)
This was my intention:
There was shading on my cat's right eye, so it was left in shade and less rendered. It was actually darker than this at the time and you couldn't even see the pupil! Likely due to his brow being pronounced, casting shadow on the other side.
Both irises are round? o.o
Anyhow. Yeah these things happen in speed-paintings: 30 minute time limit in using a medium you're not experienced with :3 -- I am sure this would have been clearer if it were a 3 hour speed painting. Hopefully I'll get faster within 30 minutes to get more across :P

Actually not! If you look close at a picture of him, you'll see that his eyes are pretty similar colours, but one pupil is markedly larger than the other. The consequence of an accident, according to Wikipedia.
However, I think I'm guilty of the most outrageous nitpicking on what's nonetheless a strikingly skilled and attractive portrait, so if you don't mind I'll just slink back under my nice comfortable rock... :)
