You are a bad dog, WB! You all stinky!
...OK well not really; I was mostly fed up of looking at her grubby muzzle but I do prefer the smell of Arctic Power to Fabreze now that we mention it.
Protip: if you're going to suit around kids all the time, maybe not put white all over your character, eh? Also it's probably a really good idea that you know what you're doing before you hose down your fursuit head in the bathtub. Just sayin'.

Well, I plan on taking my eyes out anyway, just incase the marker runs onto the fur from the eyes. (Learnt that lesson when i was using lysol to disinfect) Did you run into any unexpected issues? Any pro tips? ;) I'm probably not gonna fully submerge, but at the same time I wanna get it as clean as I can without creating a nightmare *chuckle*
Use at your own risk, obviously!
I covered her eyes with my hand and sprayed all her white parts with Shout, then worked it into the fur with my finger nails. Waited a few minutes before rinsing a bit then pouring diluted laundry detergent on her muzzle, neck and the padding inside the mask. Squeezed that around to get the soap into the foam, rinsed her again in my bathtub with more squeezin' until there was no more suds.
Water was never warmer than body temperature and now she's drying in the tub-- we're using the fan on us right now b/c it's hot in here so I'm just going back and squeezing her neck every so often since water seems to be draining out of the rest of the mask just fine. I think I'll leave her outside in the sunshine and wind a bit tomorrow, too.

It's kinda like washing a real dog-- don't spray it in the eyes, don't burn it with hot water, rinse it out real well afterwards. I had to get on my hands and knees but if you have a sink that'll fit these things http://www.handihome.com.au/images/.....er_adaptor.jpg your job is much easier!
If I had a sink that would fit one of these http://www.handihome.com.au/images/.....er_adaptor.jpg I'd have done it in there!
