This critter is basically what I roam around as now in SL.
It's my artistic liberty of a Neck (or Nix, Nokk, Nokken, etc), the ones I read about first were German, shapeshifting water spirits which were supposedly related to both Kelpies, Selkies, and Each-uisges.
Like most water spirits, the Neck is usually an entity to blame for creatures and folk drowning be it unintentional or no. The Neck tempts others by speech, song, or other forms of music towards the waterside sometimes causing bad effects.
To me, water spirits are always alien-ish creatures usually enthralling by their obscure appearance. The shoulder fins fold down and up to help display emotion as his eyes are dark, featureless orbs. An updated image will be on the way depicting detail of the head.
