Okay, so the lizard women were only in the Filmation cartoon, and Flash Gordon was a football player only in the 80s movie. Adding to the confusion is the fact that Mafafa doesn't seem to be aware what kind of football Mr. Gordon plays. Doesn't stop her from being a total fangirl, though.
