I've decided not to mess with the character much, i like him the way he is. More or less stylized. I just figured out that i have big problems with feel of the enviroment, background in particular. Please let me know what do you think of it.

Awesome! He was easily recognizable from the thumbnail, too! The pose reads well, too. Great gestural quality. Those hard white specks showing through are a treat, as well!
I find the most difficult part of a pose like this is finding a way to keep the silhouette interesting. In this case, I'd play up the overlap on the torso, and tweak the tail to avoid echoing the visual rhythm of the foot exactly (which slows the dynamic energy a bit).
