I ultimately liked the initial Scymanerian designs so much that I made them the actual current Council man and woman of the planet. I've only drawn the woman as of yet, but do two the paired nature of their position they'd both have identical clothing.. give or take the antenna rings and stuff. XD

The Scymanterians have a rather unusual way of government, it's a mix between a monarchy, a democracy, and a collective council. The council which is made up of many members, is headed by a top male and female council member (Councilman/Councilwoman). Also an equal number of the rest of the council members are male and female. Scymanterians are rather touchy when it comes to equality of the genders, it all stems from their very early existence when females were pretty much top dog (look: IRL mantids). All the members of the council as well as the top councils are elected by the populace.

Every governmental issue is disguised and the final say goes down to the head councilman/woman. However in order for any choice to be made a complete and utter agreement or compromise between the two has to be made.

Also when meeting with the leaders of other alien civilizations, the two head councils act as if a single person, so that each is completely equal. A good example is if the two/three leader are shaking hands, the two head councils have to either both shake the other race's leader's hand at once or one after the other for the same amount of time. XD
