Now that all the big work is done, we moved the harpsichord to my room, so it can adapt itself to the atmosphere - temperature and humidity level basically. ^^
Shortly after taking the picture, I also made the first tune.
Good news : it sounds good !
And no strings broke ! Which means the hitchpin loops are good enough, and none of the wire took a hit or were bent when we manipulated them. ^^
So far so good !
I now have all the free strings reacting to my voice and adding some reverb in the room.
The few things left to do are :
- some decorative planks to glue (namebatten above the keyboard for example)
- fixate the registers in their final position.
- Prepare the jacks (cutting them at the right size, sand them, do all the plectrum)
