So, first of all, the design for this comes from jennadelle. They are a custom crane design I requested from her and got today, which is why I right away had to draw it!
I absolutely love this design to death, it is just so amazing. I am so happy I was able to do this. The design was actually for one character, but I turned it into a twin character. The crescent moon in the back is the design they have on their head.

Anyway, about them:
As the name suggests they are gatekeepers. Not just from any ordinary gate but from the gate that sits before the temple that Saku resides in. Saku is in my world actually the most powerful being as he is the death god (and life god). These two sit in front of his gate and keep unwanted visitors away and protect Saku. They also have some powers of Saku, one holds an essence with life the other with death, but none other than themselves know which essence is in which.
