Dannie (Applejack's counterpart) used to be a farm girl, running a big farm with her pretty large family. She also happened to be one of Lakshmi's closest friends during the years before everything fell apart. She was still running the farm during the gryphon invasion, though her father and both her brothers were summoned to military service when the war really went south for Solaria; luckily, they all came back alive and intact, never getting to engage the gryphons before the Empress authorized the reactivation of the Precursor robotic army that was resting in the vaults scattered across the Solarian territory. However, when the Locust occupation came about, Danielle's home was among the first place hit by their forces, and she had little choice but to fight. She fought as a member of a small resistance group engaged in guerilla warfare at first, but later her unit joined the Imperial Remnant forces as they moved from the overseas colonies to the inland Solaria. She was officially given the rank of sergeant, and, more importantly, reunited with several of her old friends, all of whom also found themselves in the Remnant forces in different functions. She continued her service in the Imperial military as a powered armour operator and later a strider operator, remaining a sergeant till the end of the wars. After that, she promptly retired, returning to her home town and her family, and rebuilding her farm (and helping rebuild her home town itself).

Danielle is friendly, honest, good-natured, hospitable, and just generally nice. While her family is not nobility, they are still pretty prominent as a large clan of farmers and businessmen, with different branches of the family running large farms in every corner of the empire. While the wars have taken a heavy toll on their family, with a typical pony perseverance they rebuilt, with different branches of the family aiding each other.

P.S. Dannie lost her left arm during the Locust occupation, while she was with the guerillas. Luckily, they joined with the Imperial Remnants shortly after that incident, and she received a cybernetic replacement. After the end of the wars, she never bothered with reconstructive healing, and just kept the cybernetic arm, though.
