Originally created as a TMNT OC, but can also be a normal character I'd like to draw here and there in non-turtle work.

The back story of this unfortunate soul is that he was a human who transformed into a komodo dragon/human mutant, having previously made contact with his pet komodo dragon before leaving his house. He was out with his fiance, enjoying their trip in New York, when a van turned violently around a corner and emptied its contents onto the sidewalk before driving off. Out came flying two tubes of mutagen, one hitting Deron and spilling all over him while the other missed and met the ground. Deron mutated, his lover watching in horror the whole time, and became THIS. Scared and confused, Deron reached out to his beloved for help, only for her to panic and call him a monster. He caught the cloth she always wore around her neck, trying to stop her from running so she wouldn't leave him, but she untied it from herself and sprinted away.

His soul mate having left him and becoming a freak in less than a ten minute span changed something in Deron. He hides away in the darkness now, away from humans, cursing their normality as he struggles to survive.

Also the dude was an Australian before he mutated and worked as a trail guide. Helps when you can't go into a supermarket for food.
