heh, I wish we had a poll feature here . . . I'd love to know how many of us have characters simply because we got sick of saying why we DON'T have one. *points to the lion* I don't even really see him as "me", he's kind of more like a twin or my shadow, a lot of the same characteristics, but not me or what I'd want to be.
