I think I remember this when I was younger... I kinda thought that this was cute having these guys look a bit more toony than what you started doing later. It's always fun and embarrassing looking back at your old stuff, but you kinda grow to appreciate how far you've gotten since then.

can't say I had much experience with any of the MUCKs I heard about back in the day, I also had no idea how to even access IRCs which was all the rage back then too. I just mindlessly wandered around VCL, Furnation and numerous sites hosted on Geocities, Angelfire, Tripod and such, sometimes through those old webrings connecting artists together and scattered links to other sites other artists recommended...

Good times, I kinda miss them... but I'll never miss the stress of dealing with dialup :P

That's a good perspective to have about it. What I'm mostly anxious about is that I'll be laughed at, or that people will think this is my actual drawing ability, and dismiss me without noticing my newer stuff.

Laughed at? Look at the year it was posted originally, it'd be a little short-sighted for anyone to believe that's still your drawing ability unless people actually went out of their way to see what other things you've done that's more recent. Also admitting it's your old art and insisting it's not your current style would have people curious to see what your newer stuff looks like if this happens to be their first exposure to your art.

I've even posted old stuff of mine on DA just for laughs, nostalgia and feeling better about my current style compared to then, sure it's embarrassing, but it's also a good glimpse for other artists to see your own humble beginnings.

True, true... it's getting lots of favorites, so i'm just glad it's well received. :)
