bear battered fur also is quite good. to ensure your meal stays alive during this, you could try a little magic or you do the following:
find a piece of chicken (or what ever sort of meat you want) that is a little bigger than your meal
beer batter that and cook it,
once it's fully cooked, carefully remove the meat from the "shell" now put the target into the cavity. (imagine it like a pumpkin)
now replace the cover, you can use a little bit of honey or something to hold it in place.
dip a second time in the batter,
now recook till the outer shell is done
enjoy
