This was the first image of BF ever drawn.
Originally...BF wad intended to be a comically insane blue fox...with some cues taken from Wiley E. Coyote. The character had his roots in some ideas I'd had for a new fursona in late 2008...but in early 2009, my then-relationship with
gave him a another purpose for existence: to represent the mate of her fursona, Ruby.
In April, 2009, BF was finally put to paper in this image.
Originally, Emmature felt she had failed (hence the side text). This character wasn't crazy or comically insane and nothing like Mr. Coyote. She'd drawn something much different.
But I fell in love with this version of BF, he'd been drawn more like me than like some silly cartoon...and I adopted him as an idealized version of myself.
Despite many design and style changes, and even name changes, BF remains fairly true to this first image..of a loving and caring blue fox with just a hint of an eccentric side...and a whole lot of passions and interests.
Brandon Fox eventually came to be known just as BF..and then "Blue" before finally earning the nickname of Blueberry or Blueberry Fox.
To be honest...I'm not sure what his name really is anymore. all of the above work!
