my two new pistols, 15mm smoothbore pepperbox style revolvers

ammo
gyrojet: charge launched rocket propelled finned rounds with an HE load and brass cap
AP slug: a hollow based steel round with a copper jacket
fragshot: basically a heavy paper canister shell in 15mm form
sabot flechette: a hardened steel dart with discarding sabot

the fact that there's no gap between chamber and barrel like in a normal revovler means there's more power transfered to the round and no flash of propellant gasses our the gap between cylinder and barrel
