What were you experimenting with on this one?

A few things. I put a lot of detail into lineart but I noticed that the detail gets lost when I shade. My detailed shading covers the detailed lineart. So, I figured if I use more bland lineart, but detailed shading, will the result be the same? Yes. Less time wasted inking. I still put too much detail in the lineart here, out of habit, but it did prove the point I was trying to make.

I also took advantage of the white character I chose to practice shading white in darkness, and skipping lineart entirely (on parts of the wings), as well as softer fur shading with less hard edges.

Oooh I see, thanks! Yeah, since your lineart is black, it's not going to stand out so much on a dark pic like this one - especially since your style is to do it so thin anyhow~ I think you are onto something with only having more detail where you need it. :3 Yay keep up the good work. \o/
