Hey, everyone! ^_^ February is over, and that means that the February Album Writing Month project is over as well. It was an amazing experience. I met my goal of writing 14 new songs (with a little help from fellow FAWMers on a couple of them) in a month, 7 of which I recorded, and 7 which will hopefully be recorded in the near future. These are the first new original songs I've written in over 10 years, so it really feels like I'm back in business. One of these songs is a good bet to become the next 
dramaarmada song, so those of you who've been wondering if we're ever going to get around to doing another song, the answer is... probably lol.
The third song I completed for FAWM (after "Fortnight" and "I'll Drown The World") is an electronic quasi-instrumental called "$ Or ♥ ?". It's got kind of an Air/Royksopp thing going on, and while it probably sounds like it was pretty easy to record, it was actually a bit of a pain in my ass, due to the technical limitations of my recording/editing process. Nonetheless, I like it quite a bit. It's also led to a personal milestone, in that a remix of this song has been done by
indigojferret, marking the first time that a song of mine has been remixed by someone else. And lemme tell ya, if you're gonna be remixed by somebody, you could do a hell of a lot worse than Indy lol.

Wow... despite Duran Duran being my favorite band, this is the first time anything I've done has been likened to them before by anyone. I'm trying to figure out which B-side you're talking about, and I can't come up with anything... then again, this could be one of those "just-shut-the-hell-up-and-take-the-goddamn-compliment" moments lol. Thanks, Sedge! Vocoder always makes everything better. I think that if New York Governor Eliot Spitzer had only used a Vocoder for his press conference during which he admitted being involved in a prostitution ring, the whole thing would've probably blown over. People wouldn't remember what he said, as much as they would remember how cool he sounded saying it.

Well, I certainly never left the '80s lol! Now if you'll excuse me, Spuds McKenzie, Max Headroom and I are going to go ride our Huffy bikes down to the arcade to play Pac-Man while I listen to a Kajagoogoo casette on my Walkman and eat some Pop Rocks and California Raisins! XD Thanks, Wolfhound!
It's weird that everybody's hearing that, because I didn't particularly intend for this to have an '80s feel. If anything, I thought it was more akin to some late '90s/early '00s European dance music, only slower. But I sure do love the '80s, so I don't mind people making the comparison. ^_^ Thanks very much for the +fav! :)
