I wanted some feet, so I painted me some.
=9
Now looking at it again, I see all the faults with it, so I shall fix for next time! This I had to do to break loose the paintskill rust I had in my mind, so that I can freely paint on other things. And joy of joys, this was completely fluidly executed in FireAlpaca.
I like feet 'n paws.
I really do, but I'll make a statement that applies to what I was meditating while zoning out making this... there's this whole social notion that if you love feet and/or paws, that you're the extra-unintelligible of weirdos, that you're impossibly laughably weird for it. Well no for me. I like feet because of the memories of summer, young crushes, barefooting at pool and the FUN had at pools and outdoors, good times when things were easier and I had fewer scars under my toes. Feet remind me that if they're visible, we're likely not in formal dress and that's a calming thing. That it's warm enough outside for sandals or nothing at all. That stomping through mud and leaving prints leaves a marker of you wherever you go, like no one else's--and they connect you to the earth, through grass, moss, mud, sand, water, and ice. Feet I relate to cuddles, softness, warmness, gently touching them with friends and learning about this whole world of touching and closeness that I never would have found out if not for furs. They remind me of love, intimacy, baring yourself to the one you care about, and them exposing their own selves back to you. Feet are possibly the best tools after your brain for parkour. They're marvels of design that will handle more than 70 years and thousands of tons of accumulated force. They are things that you can bang against the ground for decades and they will regenerate thick skin, and yet are some of the most sensitive parts of us. Feet show our stance in life literally. They are pretty.
If anyone's going to know me for my feet and what I like in them–if anyone would point at me and say I'm weird–they shall know me for these things. And if you believe similarly, then I encourage you to fave and show this pic to friends, maybe draw your own or your friends' solelights. :) <3 :9
