(After a long day in the kitchen, sometimes you just want to relax, and what better way to do so than with a nice refreshing Lychee Sake Martini.)
**Easy Difficulty**Marked Mature for Alcohol**
Serves 1
2 oz / 60 ml Vodka
2 oz / 60 ml Sake
2 oz / 60 ml Lychee Syrup
1 Tbsp / 15 g Sugar
3 Lychee, from a can
A squeeze of Lime Juice
A dash of Club Soda
1.) In a shaker, add Ice, Sugar, Vodka, Sake, Lime Juice, Lychee Syrup, and Club Soda. Shake until chilled.
2.) Strain through the Shaker into a Martini glass and drop in three whole Lychee, and Enjoy!
Extra Info: I love Vodka and I love fruit, so a mixture of the two is great! It’s refreshing and exotic. Tasty and relaxing. If you don’t like tangy drinks you can substitute the Lime Juice with a dash of Grenadine. Use half the amount of sugar if you are using Grenadine, or remove the sugar all together because grenadine has a good sugar content. Grenadine will make the drink red though.
Rum can be used instead of Vodka. Especially Coconut Rum! Lychee and Coconut go well together so I can see a coconut rum doing just as well. I just can’t say no to Vodka. Haha.
To make a Lychee Syrup, reserve the lychee water from the can of Lychee, and pour the sweet Water into a small pot. Over medium heat, reduce the sweet lychee water down into a usable syrup. You may add sugar if you like while reducing the liquid if you prefer a more intense sweetness.
Take care all you Furs, and Happy Eat- Er … um.. I mean Drinking!
