In two past OCTs, being illusion-spectrum and alabaster-oct I got attracted to two side characters that I just could not stop thinking about after working with them for a bit, so after spending my first DA points ever I adopted the two of them.
First in illusion-spectrum, Deb and Lilith came across a creature called a Mutant Fox. While everyone else only used the side monsters for side stuff, I used them in both the side quests and the main story, thats where this little ball of joy comes from as in my first round Deb gained the little thing as a friend after their fight (would have went on more but was cheated and the OCT died after that) and I had to adopt one of the little things. Given the name Gumdrops due to the fox taking a liking to the candy, after sneaking off the deathtrap island the fox started to change thanks to a change in her environment and diet hens the new look she sports but is still as frisky as ever and clings to Deb like...well...sticky gumdrops.
Within the first round of alabaster-oct, Jessica found a poor hurt Oleander (no thanks to 3-legged-gerbil on DA...JK)and while she didn't want to damage her poor book she willingly ripped out the silk bookmarker to patch the little thing up. While it never took place due to my partner and I having to sadly drop out...the little Oleander she helped fallowed the towering dino teacher to repay her for the help. While other Oleanders would steal anything that would catch their eye, this pesky little weed started to read a bit...after stealing said book of course. As luck would have it most of the books he swiped were on Kung-Fu and manga, while he became a slightly tough little thing he did gain a very small bit of speech..sadly he seems to mostly speak in random manga quotes and has a hard time with an indoor voice. After being stuck in the giant library for so long Jessica had almost thought about snacking on him as he reminded her of a tasty pile of sprouts, hens his new name Sprouts. He stays with Jessica nearly all day long acting like he is her personal body guard and while he can't really do much to anyone Jessica at times dose get a chuckle out of him when he tries to act tough or yells some random things at someone.
