Incubi/Succubi are both Psychic and Sexual Vampires. They not only feed on the actual soul/life force of a being, but have also been known to have sexual relations with their prey to feed off the semen/life juices as an added bonus to their meal. Vampires do not merely drink the blood of their prey, there are many different types of vampires. Though, when people normally think of them - they automatically think of "blood-suckers" or Sanguine Vampires since those are the ones of Horror movies/stories.

You are providing Neko with misinformation. How is a Succubus, a demon and a Vampire the same thing? Early lore of Succubi predate vampires going as early as Lilth and don't actually show any vampiric tendencies early on at all. All this sucking the essence out of things etc. has been added later to what the modern day creatures shown in pop culture like Lost Girl etc. have become. Their origins are not one and the same and they should be treated as separate creatures entirely, because they are just that.

I'm not providing any misinformation. This information has been around for years, there are different types of vampires; and incubi/succubi are one of those subcategories. Just as a Vampire is a subcategory of "demonic" creatures. You can not have one without the other. As for modern day creatures, I agree that the information has changed through the years, but this information goes way back - generations before either of our times. I've spent a great deal of my life studying into mythology and especially into creatures of the "night", pretty much since I was born, I have been raised in the occult. Back before the internet was crawling with vampire fanatics and websites that put out falsehood. I use actual books on the subjects - not just ones that you would find from your popular fiction book section of libraries, but ones also handed down through generations. I've studied with masters of the subjects.

You can believe whatever you would like, but I know my information on the subjects and you can't tell me any different.

Information being old does not make it more reliable. In fact, I'd argue the opposite: the further back anything dates, the more likely it is to be faulty, as new discoveries are constantly disproving the old. Your generations old books would no doubt make for fascinating reading, but I should be careful to trust in their complete and utter accuracy over modern studies.

Modern studies are composed of surveys or what modern people think of tales. Most people do not even look at the old literature, they simply get on the internet now and roam random blogs or websites that have false information in them. There will not be any "new" discoveries on vampiric entities, because scientists have ruled them as mythology; you will only find what people have wrote themselves on the subject -some without any actual information on the subject at all expect watching modern television and reading story books that are literally only fictional- and then you find some websites that have vampiric cultures; the humans who want so badly to be vampires that they develop disorders to become what they think a vampire actually is. You have the ones that dress in medieval attire, gothic trends, "only go out at night", and then you have the ones who literally drink the blood of others (whether that be by force, or by willing volunteers). None-the-less, that is what you find in Modern Reads of the supernatural nature. No real information, just random thoughts and cultures of normal human beings.

You are either unaware that by modern studies I was refering to scholarly and scientific research regarding the mythology of vampiric creatures, or, judging from the way you speak of it, you are of the conviction that vampires are a real phenomenon and that your old litterature holds hard facts about them.

I sincirely hope it is not the latter, as I do not share your beleif, and sincirely doubt you would have the ability to convince me otherwise, should you be so inclined, and thus this discussion can only be carried out between incompatible parties, rendering it doomed to never reach fruitful conclusion.

If, however, the former, then I suppose I think you've simply become so frustrated with the manner of popular vampire culture you speak of, that you assume anyone who opposes your view to be of this one. I can assure you, it is not so.

I believe that there are creatures out there that have influenced popular beliefs of the demonic cultures. I've seen enough stuff in my short life to know that there are many unexplained phenomenons in the world and universe, that we will probably never be able to explain without a verified being of that particular group telling us their information. Scientific studies, aren't always correct - especially when dealing with the supernatural.
The original comment was simply information on the subject that I believe to be true from years of studies and information passed down through the ages. It was not meant to be rude, argumentative, or anything of a negative nature; though it seems that it has been turned into one.

Very early origins of succubus has them harvesting semen from males to which the Incubus then used to inpregnate human wemon because demons cannot reproduce. This has absolutely nothing to do with vampirism. It can be blamed on the greeks for the switch to drinkign blood with the half snake creature Lamia who would eat children and later on the multiple lamiae which seduced men and drank their blood. Succubus have enough history and attributes of their own to be kept seperate from vampires, they are a demon of their own origin seperate to vampires and to be put ina sub catergory is simply wrong.

As I said before, vampirism is the taking of life force - how do you create life without semen? Some do it psychically - mentally or emotionally sucking the life from a creature, some physically - draining them of semen or blood, then there are of course of types as well from modern-day information that you can not actually go by without doing intensive research of the subject. You do seem to know you mythology, I'll give you that one, but it's still a vampiric nature.

I believe what we have here is a misconception in regards to the meaning of "vampyrism". It is, specifically, the act of sustenance through the consumption of blood. Not emotions, life force, souls, psychic energy, or semen. Psychic/emotional vampires are a very recent notion, and technically, indeed, not vampires at all. No more than any other diet composed of sustenance gained from other living beings, such as the eating of flesh or plant matter most commonly seen, or for example the spider's method of dissolving a prey's innards and then drink it.

No, it's life force; not just blood. It's never been about blood. Your life force is in literally every part of your being, including blood. That is just the first indication of vampirism people knew of. They hadn't linked all the information together before that.

That definition of vampirism literally makes everyone and everything a vampire. So I suppose we now know why you are so die hard on Succubui being vampires because to you, everything is. If anything Vampiriam is a trait and not even a definition of a creature at all

How is everything a vampire? No where in my information did I say anything that would literally link everything into vampirism. Parasites are vampiric lol but that' about as far as that goes. Unless you think that everything is feeding off life force.

Life force can easily be summed up in the flesh, we all eat flesh, be it of animals of plant life. Thus, Vampires.

No life force can not be summed up into flesh, life force is the thing that keeps us living.. has nothing to do with material substances, it is a spiritual/essence type thing. Kind of like a soul, but not really. It's hard to explain, and I feel like I've just been repeating myself. A vampire feeds off that substance, and in the end your body can not live without it, so it dies. That is the difference between a vampiric trait, and a vampire.

We do all have the trait as you said, but there is a difference between a trait and the actual creature - which is what you are confusing. Vampires need the life force to survive literally, they can not live without it.. and they take that life force until the prey is completely lifeless.

As for Lilith, she was not nearly a vampire or even a demon; she is the mother of demonic creatures though. She was the first Eve - if you want to go by stories - whom was cast out of Eden because she refused to mate with the original Adam. They were both damned, then two other humans created being the second Adam and Eve. She went out and mated with many other creatures, in turn making the creatures that we call "demons" today.

No she is a demon. She is a female Jewish demon. She may not have started life as a demon but she certainly became one and possibly the most well known

We all change when our bodies die. She has become a legend because of her demonic nature, no doubt to that at all. I won't argue the fact that her spirit became something terrible after her death either.

Yep and as they "Sleep" with that said man as they slowly steal his soul they also steal his seeds which they then give to the Incubus(Male Succubus)so that he can then go "Sleep" with a woman where he takes the seeds that he got from the succubus and impregnates her with it and then when she gives birth, the child will be born with some sort of dis-figuration to their body and that's was how the woman found out that an Incubus "Slept" with her. And if a Succubus "Sleeps" with another woman that woman over the course of a couple of nights where she has been "sleeping" with the Succubus she would soon become a Succubus herself and that goes the same for men as well. And their names reflect the position they have in "Sleeping" with someone. The Incubus sleep on top, and the Succubus sleeps on the bottom.

Succubi (from Ancient Greek - concubines) don't suck souls. They can take the spirit energy. Spirit energy is like a fuel for the soul, it's can be restored.
So succubi are absolutely harmless, wise and kind beings if you really love them. Also they're very faithful and very jealous (of other demons, humans etc, because of love).
If guy is good/kind and his mind and soul are clear, a Succubus always will help (physically i.e. evade the accident/mentally i.e. faster calm down, gifting new good ideas, workings with memory) him, be a guardian Demon who will never betray you.
But if guy is bad/evil (to them) she just can drain his soul and all.
Christian mythology do not have demons, it have evil devils and his silly servants fiends(evil spirits). But the Demon is a neutral being: if you will good to him/her then you'll be fine.
In the Ancient Greek mythology there are good demons that protecting (even now) humans from all negative things. Angels can be envious and it's bad to humans, too.
Succubus is a female demon, not vampire, because vampires are unholy beings.
By the way, Eros/Erot/Amour is an Anc.Greek Demon of Love.
Demons can't be summoned, they will help only if you deserve it. Difference between demon and devil is that devil don't have wings, never help humans, it is evil and have creepy look.
And last but not least: demon = dark (parallel universe)(upright pentagram), angel = holy (heave)(upright cross), devil = unholy (hell)(upright-down pentagram/cross).
