I just kind of like to play with how to make things unsettling. I find when you take something that is usually calm or cute or anything of the like, and you turn it on it's head slightly you get something that strikes a deeper chord with people.
As for a deeper meaning I think there is a lot that could be interpreted here but it's nothing set in stone really. : )
