We interrupt our regular furry convention coverage for a special San Diego edition. In celebration of the nearly 3 decade-long story of Omaha the Cat Dancer coming to a close with collected volume #8 premiering at San Diego Con, Reed Waller was invited to come to the convention by the publisher, and it was HIS first San Diego appearance in over 20 years. He was doing sketches, so I got this nice hula-dancing Omaha from him. Buy the book, and see how the saga ends!

Sweet!
Say, mind if I throw on a dash of colour? I love colouring Omaha!

He attended multiple Chicago Comicons back in the late 80's. It was pretty much his "home" convention since it was the largest convention close to where he lived. It wasn't until he announced he had colon cancer in 1991 that he stopped attending conventions. That's pretty much the only advantage of being a greymuzzle, you can wax nostalgic over things like "In my day, you could buy comics for a quarter, and still have enough left over for a licorice whip!".
Thanks for the comment!
Actually, I display sketches slightly differently. I enjoy letting other people have an opportunity to look at what I've collected (which is the main function of this gallery), so I store the commissions I've gotten in presentation folders, and take them to some of the conventions that I attend, and if the occasion presents itself, I'll stick them out on a table for people to flip through. If I were to frame every sketch I've gotten over the years, I'd need the Sistine Chapel to display them!
