Eeep! I'm a little late with posting this, but not by too long. Hooray for Free Art Friday! :D This week I went with horses. Man do I love horses! Something about them just begs to be drawn. I'm not sure these are very good renditions of these characters, but they were fun to draw just the same. The colors on these aren't meant to necessarily match the characters, it's just monotone shading to give them a bit of depth.
First on the left is the very adorable and nude Frederick B. Cox who belongs to
gunslingerdragon. I love big sweethearts who don't care that they're not wearing clothing ;D
Second is Horace for
unruled. Horace is QUITE the stud (literally). I wish I'd drawn this one smaller to fit all his delicious rugby body in there. Oooooh rugby horses <3

Yeah, I need to work on their head shapes. You're totally right, I refer to dragon head shapes since my head is full of them. Clearly I need more practice...on big draft zebracorns ;D And I DEFINITELY need to try better posing. I was pretty washed out that night and the posing shows it. I didn't even draw my favorite part, which is the hooves. I appreciate that crit very much! <3 And I will definitely be drawing more horsie studs ;D
Look we all go to our fortes when we do work - I know I do when I am doing music and such - there are "safe" comfort zones where you just know how it works so you stick to them. But the fun is in pushing the boundaries a little and hey I always know you are up for a challenge - especially ones full of hunky goodness.
LOL! It's okay XD I totally dropped the ball. I usually notify people that they have free art but I've been busy and also lazy and I totally forgot D: Apologies! But I'm glad you like it :D He's an adorable character and if I'd had my naughty sketchbook with me I'd have kept drawing downwards ;D But he's a super cute character and thank you so much for letting me draw him for you <3
