Aha. I have recaptured the bilby magic, I think. Apparently small, rodent like marsupials are where it's at? But not American ones (like the opossum), it seems. Anyway, this is a bandicoot, which you may notice looks a lot more like the bilby than Crash. There seem to be a few kinds of bandicoot, from 'I look just like a big rat' to the longer nosed kind like this one. I liked this guy because they have the fur patterning, which made it more interesting and gave me a chance to try "coloring" by erasing.
Still really sketchy, style wise, but you know, I'm pleased with that, actually. I'd just like to find a brush and a dynamic that keeps the edges of the brush from looking fuzzy when I want it sharp, cause the edges are a little blurrier than I really mean for them to be.
Overall though, really pleased with this one. I even added a shadow and a background (albeit a rough one of the kind of grass, leaf matter and dirt that most of the bandicoots seem to be photographed on), which I don't even usually do.
Progress all around.
