It was a beautiful summer day in the town of Dragon Peak, the sun was shining through a slightly cloudy morning sky, the birds were singing and all the neighborhood was clean and orderly. Not to mention the town was completely occupied by dragons, as one might expect by the name of the town. Dragons of every possible coloration wandered the streets, and each one seemed to vary in personality but the overall mood was set for kind, peaceful interactions between each dragon, so there was no need to worry about crime rates or any of the other garbage one would expect to hear on the news.
On this particular morning, however, there was a midnight blue dragon who seemed a little down in the dumps because he had lost something very precious to him… his girlfriend had just broke up with him. To this dragon in particular, it seemed as if nothing could cheer him up, not even a beautiful day like today. If one were to describe this dragon physically, one could say he was built very athletically, his midnight blue body accented with just the right amount of muscle to come off as strong, but not beefy. His black stomach scales were tough, harder than steel, the fruits of all his effort to keep his body in shape. His eyes were as bright as the grass in the light of the morning sun and his hair was often worn wavy since that was how the wind often blew it.
This dragon’s name was Skye Dive. He was depressed, as his girlfriend had recently broke up with him to pursue the Dragon Peak University’s resident jock and left without so much as a good bye. He was sitting in the café, slowly stirring his coffee as he reflected on all the good times and bad times he had shared with her, wondering if it was all for nothing. He closed his bright green eyes for a moment and heaved a great sigh.
At that moment, one of Skye’s good friends, Dark Divide, came wandering into the café accompanied by his big brother Bendor. They were both set rather on the heavy side, since they didn’t care much for exercise and their diets consisted of at least double what most dragons ate. They slowly walked up to the counter to buy several boxes of donuts and some coffee to wash it down, and Dark noticed Skye sitting by himself, tugging slightly on Bendor’s tail with his own as he indicated that they should sit with him. They both wandered over to the lonely dragon sitting by himself at the table and put down their purchase and make themselves comfortable, their rumps squeezing to either side of the chairs they were sitting in, obviously they were too big to fit in them, but that didn’t matter.
“Hey… Skye? What’s wrong?” Dark slowly reached his hand over to touch his friend’s hand in a gentle way, trying to comfort him since it was apparent to him that Skye was out of sorts. “Is… everything okay?”
Skye looked up at him, his green eyes glittering with tears and appearing to be slightly bloodshot as he opened them. “N-no. My girlfriend ditched me yesterday… left without even telling me why… all she left me was a text…” His phone was open to the text so Dark and Bendor could see it. The message on it was brief, bluntly worded. The message read: “I’m done with you. You were fun while you lasted but there are better dragons out there for both of us.” The tears were still running down Skye’s face, and Dark and Bendor knew they had to do something to calm him down.
“Well… the first part of that text is a little harsh… but the second part at least tells you she still cares about you to some extent… maybe not as much as before… but she still cares about you.” Bendor tried to comfort Skye, gently rubbing his back with one of his chubby handpaws.
Skye sighed a little, closing his eyes again as he slowly leaned back in his chair, then cradled his head in his arms, his cyan and black streaked hair running through his fingers softly as he tried to regain his composure. “She could… have given me a reason why she left… so I’m not left grasping at straws… I tried my best to be the best boyfriend I could be… I even got in perfect shape for her, since she said she can’t stand chubby dragons… some gratitude.”
The two brothers looked at him, then back at each other. “Wait… you said you used to be chubby… I actually remember that..” Dark smiled a little. “And since… you’re not with her anymore… you could go back to being chubby, right?”
Skye looked at him. “What are you getting at, Dark? Are you asking me… to go back to what I was?”
Bendor smiled softly and looked at him, his other paw gently rubbing at his own ruby red belly. “I know I would love to see that… there need to be more dragons that are larger than most would dare to be… ranging from soft to supersized, whatever your preference is, of course!”
Skye looked at them, then heaves another reluctant sigh. “Fine. I have no reason to be built like this anymore…. I was only doing this for my ex… so I guess if you guys could help me pack on some pounds, that would be great.”
The two brothers smiled happily and took their purchases from the table and got up, with some minor difficulty, from the table. They ushered for Skye to follow them. “Come on, we’ll take you to our place. There should be plenty of food there to fill you up quite nicely.” They smiled as they waddled out the door, with Skye following along behind them a couple of steps behind. Within half an hour, they arrived at Dark’s and Bendor’s home, Dark waddled a bit faster to open the gate for Skye and Bendor wobbled a little bit further to open the door for him. “Our house is your house!”
Skye slowly wandered into the house, smiling softly at each of them as he passed by, and they slowly wandered into the house behind him, since they were larger, they couldn’t move quite as fast as Skye could. “Wow…. This place is really nice, very spacious too!” He looked around, each of the rooms looked so big that he could probably stack 5 of himself on his shoulders and barely reach the ceiling. The furniture was all modified to fit incredibly heavy people on them, the tags said two ton weight limits on every piece of furniture. He smiles as he looks around. “I could probably do very well here…”
Bendor gently led the awestruck midnight blue dragon to a nearby sofa and sat beside him for a moment while Dark went to gather a bunch of food from the fridge. Bendor smiled as he took the donuts and gently started feeding them to Skye, who ate the donuts willingly from his paw. “You’ve got quite an appetite I see! This should make things easier for both of us!” He smiles as he continued to feed Skye as Dark came back with a large tray filled with other -very- fattening foods.
Skye looked at the both of them as he ate and couldn’t help but realize just how lucky he was that his best friend came to help him through this dark time in his life, and his friend’s brother was being very supportive as well. He smiled as he realized this may have been the best thing to ever happen to him.
Now that Dark was back with the rest of the food, the two brothers soon started to go to town to feed Skye impressive amounts of food in minimal time, Bendor rubbing at Skye’s belly occasionally to make room for more food. Time passed by very slowly as Skye ate and ate, his once toned body soon turning from toned to pudgy, and from pudgy to chubby... soon, his muscular body was a thing of the past, his body now rivalled Dark’s and Bendor’s for size and as he gobbled up the last morsel of food they had for him, he sighed with contentment and rubbed over his new large belly with his paws. “Ohhh that was the best time of my life, thank you so much.... both of you...”
They both smiled and sat on either side of him, rubbing gently at his belly and smooshing their own bellies against it as they hugged him. “Anytime, Skye. Say... we were going to go bowling later.... do you want to come with us? I mean, if you’re going to be our new adopted brother, there are certain rites of passage you have to go through.. you passed the first one with flying colors.”
Skye looked at the two of them, blinking at first. “You mean... you’d really have me as your adopted brother? I’m.... I’m flattered, to say the least! And, yes, I would like to go bowling... I need to get used to being this size again anyhow.”
They smiled as they got up from the couch, helping Skye from the couch and smiling as his body wobbled upon staggering to his feet. “That size looks very great on you, by the way! Come on, let’s go!”
They grabbed their bowling gear and escorted Skye from the house to the local bowling alley, half an hour away from the house. Upon entering, Bendor pays for a couple of games at the counter and make their way to their lane. They got a lot of stares from other dragons in the bowling alley but not one of them stopped to say anything to them. Skye sat down in a chair and started to try and catch his breath. “It’s been a while since I was this big, for sure... I’m all out of breath from walking here...”
At that moment, Skye’s old girlfriend and the University jock came walking past and she saw Skye. “Ohh my.... when I broke up with you in that text... the most I thought you would do is go off and sulk for a while... I didn’t expect you to eat a whale because you were too emotionally put out to keep up your diet... I’m sorry Skye but... I’m sure there will be someone who likes you for how you are. See you around campus...” With that, she walked away and Skye’s ears lower slightly.
Dark had been off trying to get some nachos and a drink for each of them, but Bendor saw that whole exchange and he sat beside him, slowly reaching for his hand. “Hey... she didn’t completely crush you. You still have some hope and at least it sounded like she was genuinely sorry for breaking up with you... maybe you still have a chance.”
Skye looked at him with a hopeful smile. “You really think so?” His eyes started to tear up as he hugged him softly. “Thank you so much for... for everything... helping me get back on my feet, helping me get my awesome fat body back... you truly are the best brother a guy could ask for... and Dark is too.”
Dark came back with the food a moment later and they all ate, and spent the next couple of hours bowling, happy to be able to spend time with each other and Skye was feeling great, since he was finally able to lay down his troubles and start over with two awesome fatty dragon brothers. He finally felt like he was able to fit in somewhere, which is what he really wanted in the end.
