My second entry for the Roosterteeth RWBY movie poster contest! I'm just as excited for this as the first one!
This is probably less of a movie poster due to the placing of the text and the long quote, but I think it conveys more feeling. For anyone confused with the difference in eye color between the two pictures, Yang's eyes turn from purple to red when she's either angry or really excited.
I'd imagine that most people drawing Yang with red eyes would make her looking really angry, but I go for the opposite approach. To me, a rule of thumb is that a person is really angry when their volume changes (normally loud goes to super quiet and vice versa). Of course Yang went to normally angry after the transition, but that one moment struck my heart. That emotionless, yet passionate glare, not to mention the flaming hair, struck my heart.
And as usual, I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to painting fire and backgrounds, lol.
Burn, baby burn.
