Here is another picture featuring Chief Running Stream and the Prime Minister of Hemellaine. This is again from the story/novel I've been working on, though it's still going slow. Chief Running Stream of a desert tribe has a verbal dispute with the Prime Minister over land rights and sovereignty. Hemellaine in the mean time fights in the world council to delegitimize the tribe as a viable owner of the territory, and such deligitimization would legalize an invasion by Hemellaine and an entire takeover of the land.
It is a parallel of Indian rights and land disputes both in the past and today, where sacred sites and lands are continuously being taken and used to make resorts, and businesses, with complete disregard for the rights both land and religious of the tribes. That comes as a surprise for many that land rights for American Indians is still an issue today.
Chief Running Stream is a character I've wanted drawn for a while because I wanted there to be a good, accurate portrayal of an Indian chief on FA, whereas most other representations are usually wolves with headdresses/war bonnets, and are portrayals where the great qualities of chiefs are not shown, rather the "chief" characters are objectified and even sexualized in such drawings and portrayals. She is a great leader, with great love for her people, who does everything she does with no other interest but that of her tribe.
