Here is my go at this weeks prompt. I decided to make this a kind of origin story for my fursona Hikari I will most likely make this more detailed and revise it as more than a prompt. I have been wanting to write about Hikari for some time now so I saw this as a chance.

The first thing I remember I was huddled inside of a cave with my long tail wrapped around me. It was really more like a big hole than a cave. The only smell around me was a damp musty smell. I couldn’t hear anything because my ears were ringing. My head was dizzy and I felt like I had been sleeping for a long time and my body was stiff. I couldn’t remember anything and when I say anything I mean it I couldn’t even speak I was like a completely feral animal that all it knew was that it had to survive in the world. The only thing that could identify me was a chocker around my neck that had a symbol on it that I couldn’t read, obviously. I tried to stand up on my shaky four legs, but all I managed to do was fall on my face I decided to just lay back down till I rested up some more. After I had rested enough to actually stand and walk I got out of the hole I was standing in. I found myself in some kind of mountain range I could smell the sweet fragrance of new flowers. Other than that all I could remember is an intense hunger and I knew I needed to find some food and fast. After much searching on the mountain I could only manage to find some berries that wear safe to eat. I tried to hunt, but I just wound up falling most of the time. I just decided to give up and rest some more and make it back to my hole. I can’t remember how many days past like this I do remember that after a while I got so weak from not being able to find enough food I just laid down in my hole and waited to die. Then the next thing I remember I saw a flash of gold and I tried to run, but all I could do was fall back asleep. When I woke up next I was in a bed still huddled up like I was in my hole. I felt better, but was still really hungry. I then smelled some food that was set up close to the bed and ate it greedily.
“I see you have woken up young one,” I heard a voice not to far from where I was lapping up my meal.
I swallowed hard and just stared at his face. He was a gold Kitsune that had all of his nine tails. His voice was soft the kind of voice that carries a lot of wisdom. I felt like I should have tried to get away, but something in me knew that he was just trying to help me out.
“I found you in that hole in the ground I am glad I made it in time to much longer and you would have been dead,” he said moving closer to me.
“I know you are hungry, but you might want to slow down or you will get sick.”
I stared at the food that was almost gone and ate the rest slowly.
“I read the chocker that you are wearing it is the Japanese kanji for the name Hikari,” he pointed to my neck.
“You don’t remember anything do you and the only reason you know what I am saying is threw telepathy I am only talking to get you used to it.”
I looked up at him and nodded the language seemed like it should be familiar, but I didn’t understand a spoken word.
“You know the name Hikari means light,” he looked me over.
“Even though you only have one tail I can tell that you are part kitsune. I could teach you everything you need to know since you have no place else to go for now,” he spoke while kneeling down beside me.
“That is if you will want me to be your sensei?”
I don’t have any where else to go and he seems like he might be able to tell me about who I am and how to live. I looked him in the eye and nodded in the most confident way I could.
“Ok rest up we will start tomorrow by trying to get you back to your anthro form.
