Almost finished with my truck. 2004 Ford F350 Super Duty Lariat.
i bought it used and have been getting it set up the way I wanted. New bumper by Iron Bull of Phoenix, new shell by ARS, and a contractors rack for cargo. It has the standard diesel powerstroke engine with a banks turbo six-gun turbocharger, but I spent a buttload of cash having the turbo engine cooled the way Ford should have done when it was built. these trucks will go over 600.000 miles if you take care of them properly.
Anyone who knows me, knows I love trucks almost as much as my guns.
Astonishingly, everyone in the Mob loves this truck and couldnt find anything to complain about.

The rack is large enough for the Karno Roadtrip Isolation Device, or KRID.
A clear tubular device with the following features;
A clear dome for viewing the world around you. A funnel to trap various airborne insects (to eat) it will also trap rainwater (to drink).
Airholes, which can be closed if you no longer deserve to breathe.
A compact, aerodynamic design that ensures that you hands and arms cannot move.
And best of all, as you will be strapped to the roof, where your "gasses" and comments are well away from the rest of us!
We believe that this device, aka the KRID, will open up a new commercial market for the following consumers:
People with kids, people with room mates, prison transport busses, people with kids, anyone who must take furries to conventions, and people with kids.

Nice setup! Love the sound of a good diesel.
My car's not quite as heavy-duty, but I don't think it's anything to scoff at.

Who Is John Galt?
a FICTION bumper sticker like this one http://compare.ebay.com/like/330418.....s&var=sbar
and a $5 coupon sticker from the local We-Lube-It-For-You place... 17 Quarts of 15w/40 gets Expensive! next time I should just bring in a couple gallons of Delvac from my work truck!

The 7.3 was a great engine. They went to the 6.0, the first ones were 2004, which is what I have. This one is on demand 4x4. I turn a dial on the dash and lock the hubs, good to go.
I had the new oil cooler put in (the Bulletproof system), and a whole bunch of other work.

Well, hopefully all that power and size does something useful. For instance, 8,400 Erie-built horsepower: http://www.furaffinity.net/full/7797594/
Looks awesome!
What did you do to improve the cooling?
Are you going to install a kilowatt of xenon arc off road driving lights?
I've got a little normally aspirated 6.2 L diesel. Added an oil cooler and tranny cooler. Most important addition was twin huge bypass oil filters to get the sub 5 micron particles.
Diesels retain great efficiency at low throttle; my 6,000 pound rig gets 45 MPG at 45 MPH, so I have a range of 1300 miles without Jerry cans. Keep on truckin.

I had the Bulletproof system installed. It is a larger oil and tranny cooler that replaces the ford factory unit. The factory unit was used after the motor manufacturer ( I think International made them) advised that the unit was too small. This was what led to the poor performance of the 6.1 powerstroke engine which was heavily reported.
The Bulletproof replacement remedies this.
I intend to add a few LED lights to the front bumper, which has space for four of them. I also intend to place a remote controlled turret light assembly to the roof.
Once I have the basket(s) added to the rear portion of the roofrack, I will add a large solar panel to charge my dual bettery system and a set of marine deep cycle batteries for accessories.

Since it's a turbo diesel it needs it! The pyrometer regularly records my exhaust at over 800 degrees. I also have dual oil filters and the system carries 21 quarts of oil.
I intend to vent the hood, add some quarter panel vents, and some other bits I can't recall ATM..
International made the 6.1 powerstroke, Ford put a smaller than recommended oil cooler system on it. It also helps cool the tranny fluid, and since it is regularly over 110 here in summer, I will grab every bit of cool I can find.

Okay you're da boss.

That starting to worry me. After they killed Econoline for slightly bigger version of Transit, and made Explorer 5 with 2.5 EcoBoost sewmachine... they got to ruin some details on nice cars left in producing. Where do this world coming to?
