
At one point in my life in fandom I carried on a correspondence with various artists, among them Lia "Tygger" Graf. In 2000 she was kind enough to send me this, which I framed and hung in my bedroom so that it is the first thing I see upon wakening and the last thing when I turn in. A very few years later, due to the ridiculous amount of abuse from clueless fanboys, Lia walked away from the fandom, a great loss to the rest of us. Ah, well, "new times, new interests in life..."

I doubt this is reciprocated very much. I unhappily recall that one ConFurence* seeing her in a tearful rage due to some unthinkingly stupid abuse from some idiot, who stood by with a fatuous look on his face as if he couldn't see why she should take offense at anything he said. A little of this goes a long way and she got quite a lot of it for some reason.
*It may well have been the last one she attended, leading shortly to her withdrawal to a less hostile environment.
