finalized design of melo the burro piñata! copy-pasting the info from the last pic along with some new points:
> melo is a living piñata. some kids smashed a hole in him looking for candy but when they saw that all he had in him was gummy guts they ran, leaving him to live with a hole in his belly that will never heal (his outsides can’t heal naturally, but his insides can). he put his guts back in since they’re made out of gummies they stick inside him around the hole and don’t fall out on their own, but can still be touched and intentionally removed. so yes, you can stick your hand in him and feel his gummy heart beating or play with his intestines or whatever!!! his insides are edible and if you yank them out or nom on them they will ooze jelly that will reform into new guts.
> melo needs to eat candy to keep his guts regenerating. any kind of sugary gummy candy will do, dots or worms or swedish fish... or the guts of other piñatas, if he's desperate...
> his outsides are made of cardboard with a coat of thin paper strips, and his insides are delicious gummies that are all flavored like their colors - lime for green, orange for orange, grape for purple!
> sometimes his body hole leaks sugary goop uwu
> these are his 'true' colors but for the sake of artwork they can be changed to any hue, just keep it super radical and bright and delicious lookin!!!!
> he has a penchant for getting into situations where other characters (fellow piñatas included) end up touching and eating his insides. its rlly intimate and hot for him despite being rather uncomfortable haha. he is not really one to eat another's guts unless it's dire circumstances (another character is eating so much of him so quickly that he needs more candy matter to be able to regenerate immediately and guts are the only thing available). he won't look very happy about having to eat others' insides tho, he's a gentle soul and dislikes inflicting violence on another.
> the rope around his neck is the one he was held up by when he was punched through. it looks like a multicolored noose :0
melo is my character but feel free to use any of the ideas i have written here (piñata biology, gummy gut eating and regenerating, etc etc) to make your own piñata characters! the more the merrier! uwu
